We have been enjoying the fantastic weather here and being able to enjoy outdoor dining and drinking. Close to where we live is a lovely historic house filled with boutiques and surrounded by more shops, snack bars, and restaurants. I have already posted several pictures of the spectacular views from Casa da Guia but I just can't resist taking pictures almost every time we go. For those of you on Facebook, a few of these are repeats. The only challenge is to resist the temptation to go every day.
We have also visited Praia do Guincho (Guincho Beach) which is about five miles north of here. The views are spectacular. We have lunch at a very cool restaurant there last week but the entrance road is really in bad shape so I doubt Will is going to want to take Big Bidness down there again any time soon.
Another ray of light at the end of our lockdown tunnel is that our appointments with SEF (Immigration) which were canceled in March were just rescheduled for early August. We are very anxious to complete this step as it will get us our residency cards which, in turn, will allow us to travel throughout the EU whenever it is safe to do so. Until then we will be very happy to explore this beautiful country and prepare for visitors once travel is permitted.
I am also trying to find a way to get on the list for vaccines but that is a bigger challenge. You see, you need that pesky residency card to get your national health card which you need to get the shot. After waiting in a long line today at a national health office, we got forms to complete to request the national health card before the residency card comes in. I will submit those forms tomorrow. However, I am not giving up on finding another way. More on that as time flies by.

Big Bidness 🤣 you always have the funniest names for your cars! I'm glad the four of you are able to get out and explore more. Sending virtual hugs and kisses.
Such beautiful views! Jess and I are fully vaxxed and planning several trips this summer. Sinking off the covid cobwebs! We're going to Savannah next month, New York with the girls in June, and then to Oak Island in July. Next summer were planning our trip to Spain and Italy. We'll need to coordinate with you guys for a meetup!
We're glad you're getting out more. We got our 2nd C-19 dose last Sunday and are planning a few trips (FL in May and maybe Seattle in late June?) We really enjoy your photography, keep them coming! It makes us want to visit.
I'm getting a little less jealous as it's turning to spring in Maine. I'm fully vaccinated so I'm heading to Florida to hang out with friends. It's not Portugal but its a change of scenery. I haven't left the state in more than a year now. Going to see the kids early May -- that's when they can fit me in! Tyler has found a new love in Santa Fe -- of course he's living in Morgantown WV so I'm not sure anyplace would be great. Flingers crossed on the vaccination.
